Distracted

Jordan is doing very well. We will know the new protocol the team wants to use this week. I haven’t posted because life has intervened. I will be sharing some fun news soon. All I can say is that involves our Miss J, Paramount Studios, a popular television show … and a bit of singing. I’ve said too much.

Coping with Reversals

In a story, there’s nothing so pleasing as a good reversal. The reversal is the moment in the story where the hero’s life takes an unexpected turn. In a comedy, it’s often what causes us to bend over with laughter. In a drama, it’s the moment in the story where our heart feels like it has moved to our throat. Reversals provide cathartic moments that give a story momentum and engage us with the stakes our hero must respect.

Back to MRI

Jordan is doing well. I didn’t post during the holidays because we all checked out for awhile and I spent my time working on another overdue writing project. Jordan heads to CHLA today for an MRI. We are all crossing our fingers that the tumor has shrunk. I will post news soon.

Dips

Her counts are low again, and she had to get another shot of GCSF. She was not pleased with the shot part. She may need a few more. She’s been fatigued, but she still has her personality. I’ve been on the road all week. Still, I get calls from her to ask how I’m doing. She has the most lovely tone when she calls. When I ask how she’s doing she’s always nonchalant.
